West Mercia Police have identified Fieldhouse Drive as a hotspot for recurring burglary offences in the Muxton area over the last two years. Due to this and with guidance from the police, the Parish Council have signed up to a crime fighting technology to protect the area.
SmartWater is a crime prevention company with an established track record for detecting and deterring criminal activity. Their cutting-edge and traceable liquid product kits have been highly successful in reducing crimes, such as burglary, robbery and asset theft.
With over 80% of houses now protected with these kits, signage has now been erected to let criminals know this is a no-go area ❌
Here you can see Ralph Morgan, the Parish Clerk, and Holly Westwood, the Community Events and Engagement Officer checking out the new signs.
We look forward to seeing the positive effects this will have on the area! Keep an eye out and see if you can spot the signs when you’re next in the area 👀👍
